Our Narrowboat Experience Days are a leisurely day out with qualified Helmsmen and experienced boat handlers in the beautiful countryside of South Yorkshire.

Firstly we would like to introduce ourselves, we are Jim and Pat Hodges, happily married with a keen interest in narrowboating on the Inland Waterways. We own a 60ft cruiser stern narrowboat which is used for our Narrowboat Experience days, Narrowboat Training and Helmsman Courses on The Chesterfield Canal.

Our narrowboat experience days are designed to provide training experience for up to 4 persons, the boat and helmsmen are exclusively yours for the day.

Breakfast butties, tea/coffee etc all included in the day, but that's not all... At lunchtime, we moor the boat for one hour at Drakeholes, this will give you the opportunity of enjoying a superb pub lunch at The White Swan, alternatively you may wish to bring a packed lunch with you, the choice is yours.

During the day you will have the opportunity to take the tiller and manage the locks or if you prefer you can simply sit back and enjoy a leisurely day out, its your day, you choose.
